WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Aladdin (Massoud) is a kind-hearted street urchin living within the city of Agrabah, who becomes smitten with Princess Jasmine (Scott), the beautiful daughter of the Sultan (Negahban). However, everything changes when the Sultan’s evil advisor Jafar (Kenzari) convinces Aladdin to help him steal a valuable item from the mythical Cave of Wonders: a magic lamp which, when rubbed, summons a powerful Genie (Smith) that can grant three wishes…

Disney invites us to a whole new world with this ambitious live-action take on their animated classic, with director Guy Ritchie calling the shots on a largely diverse cast which includes Will Smith taking on the role that the late, great Robin Williams made infamous.
