WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Still traumatised from his experiences as a child at the Overlook Hotel, Danny Torrance (McGregor) strives to find peace. However, he is soon contacted by Abra (Curran), a young girl who – like Danny – has psychic powers known as the “shining”, and who wants his help to protect her from a sinister cult, led by Rose the Hat (Ferguson), which feeds on children with powers. Forming an uneasy alliance, Danny and Abra use their powers to fend off the cult, causing Danny to revisit some unwanted memories from his past…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Stephen King’s bestselling sequel book to his classic story The Shining is adapted by modern horror maestro Mike Flanagan, who also pays sweet homage to the infamous Stanley Kubrick adaptation of the latter novel.
