WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

In a small dissection laboratory in Paris, a severed hand suddenly springs to life and escapes to be reunited with his owner, pizza delivery boy Naoufel (Patel/Faris). As the hand remembers several key moments in Naoufel’s life, including an attraction to a woman named Gabrielle (Shawkat/Du Bois), we also learn the unfortunate circumstances that caused him to lose his hand in the first place…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

While certainly an odd premise for any movie (let alone an animated one), I Lost My Body is also one of the year’s most unique, profound and utterly captivating original pieces of work.
