WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

In Nazi Germany near the end of the Second World War, young Jojo (Davis) is an active member of the Hitler Youth who idolises the Fuhrer – so much so, that he imagines that Adolf Hitler himself (Waititi) is his best friend. However, when he discovers that his mother (Johannson) is hiding a young Jewish girl named Elsa (McKenzie) in their house, Jojo is forced to confront everything he believes in…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Taika Waititi’s newest comedy is a daring, hilarious and heartfelt anti-hate satire where the New Zealand filmmaker also takes on the role of Adolf Hitler (because what better middle-finger to Hitler than having a Polynesian Jew portray him on screen?).
