WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Twelve-year-old Kareem Manning (Gardenhigh) highly disapproves of his mother’s (Henson) new boyfriend, police officer James Coffee (Helms). He hires a criminal in an attempt to scare him away, but when the prank backfires Coffee is forced to team with Kareem to clear his name and take down Detroit’s most ruthless drug kingpin…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Although it sounds like one of those films that was greenlit because of that title alone, this aims to get some decent laughs and thrills in there, thanks to the unlikely pairing of Ed Helms with unknown young actor Terrence Little Gardenhigh.
