WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

In 1981 South Africa, the white minority government is embroiled in conflict on the southern Angolan border. Because of this, all men over the age of 16 must complete two years of military service to defend the Apartheid regime. Among them is Nicholas (Brummer), a young man who must survive the toxic brutality of the army he serves in, which is made further complicated by a forbidden connection between him and a fellow recruit…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

The monstrous Apartheid regime serves as the background to this gripping tale of a young man coming to terms with his feelings, his sexuality, and his overall position in the world.
