WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

During the Great Depression, devoted high school American football coach Rusty Russell (Wilson) shocks his colleagues when he gives up his privileged position to teach and coach at a Fort Worth orphanage. Recognising that his scrawny players can’t beat other teams with brawn, Rusty devises a number of innovative strategies that help the team – known as the Mighty Mites – go from an underdog group to playing for the Texas state championships, earning the hearts of the nation in the process…
