Mark leaps at the opportunity, desperate to break away from the shadow of his older, more successful brother Dave (Ruffalo), while du Pont seeks to win the respect of his peers and his unimpressed mother Jean (Redgrave). Soon, though, the relationship between Mark and John becomes more intense and leads to a tragic outcome…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Aside from boasting excellent performances from its lead trio of actors, particularly Steve Carell in a transformative role, Foxcatcher is director Bennett Miller’s dark and disturbing odyssey into the perspective of American idealism.
