WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Mark Schultz (Tatum), an Olympic gold medal-winning wrestler, is invited to the estate of John du Pont (Carell), a wealthy fanatic who offers Mark a chance to train for the 1988 Seoul Olympics at his new training facility under his guidance and supervision. Mark leaps at the opportunity, desperate to break away from the shadow of his older, more successful brother Dave (Ruffalo), while du Pont seeks to win the respect of his peers and his unimpressed mother Jean (Redgrave). Soon, though, the relationship between Mark and John becomes more intense and leads to a tragic outcome…
