WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

A young American woman, Greta (Cohan), takes a job in a remote British village working as a nanny for the son of the Heelshire couple (Norton and Hardcastle) – only to discover upon arrival that the child is actually a life-sized porcelain doll that the couple treat as their son to cope with the death of their real boy. Greta is given a strict set of rules to help look after the doll, but when she ignores these rules a series of sinister events occur that lead her to believe that the doll might actually be real…

The Boy is a delightfully creepy tale of porcelain dolls coming alive, in the vein of Child’s Play and – to a lesser extent – Annabelle.
