WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

In the late 1930s, Polish couple Antonia and Jan Żabiński (Chastain and Heldenbergh) run a successful zoo together in Warsaw. However, upon the German invasion in 1939, which would kick-start the Second World War, they helped save hundreds of Jewish fugitives and escapees from the Warsaw Ghetto by hiding them in their zoo’s compounds…
