WHAT’S IT ABOUT?
After a small incident in her African village, eight-year-old Shula (Mulubwa) is accused of witchcraft. Shula must now decide whether to accept her fate, or risk the consequences to lead a free life…
IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?
This startling and eye-catching movie from Zambia-born British director Rungano Nyoni is bound to put her on the map as a serious filmmaking talent to watch, least of all because it’s a strange and satirical story of common life in Africa.
