WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Ten years since the portal at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean which let through countless giant monsters was seemingly closed for good, a new generation of Jaeger fighters are brought in to fight a sudden re-emergence of the evolved Kaiju enemy, as well as a Jaeger that has gone rogue. One of the new pilots is Jake Pentecost (Boyega), the son of fallen war hero Stacker Pentecost, who rises up to defend humanity as well as his father’s legacy…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Guillermo del Toro may not be in the director’s chair this time around, but the sequel to his enormously fun homage to giant monster movies and giant mecha anime continues to build its world with this long overdue sequel which hopefully retains the entertainment of that first film.
