WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

In a world where puppets exist but are seen as inferior to humans, puppet Private Investigator Phil Phillips (Barretta) reunites with his former cop partner Detective Connie Edwards (McCarthy) to solve the murders of several cast members from the 80s television show The Happytime Gang. However, when the evidence points to Phil being the culprit, he and Edwards must work outside the law to catch the killer…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

A production that’s been in development for roughly ten years, but made possible thanks to the involvement of Melissa McCarthy, this hybrid of a puppet movie and raunchy crime comedy movie should make for one of the year’s most outrageous and bizarre movies.
