Alice Kingsleigh (Wasikowska) has spent the last few years following in her late father’s footsteps and sailing the high seas, but is soon called back to the weird and wonderful world of Underland where she discovers her old friend, the Mad Hatter (Depp), is acting madder and more erratic than usual. To help save him and the realm of Underland from a heartbreaking fate, Alice confronts Time (Cohen) and travels to the past in order to find the root of the problem…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Not many people consider Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland to be a particularly good movie, let alone a good adaptation of the classic Lewis Carroll story, but its financial success has led to a follow-up being made that can hopefully lighten the mood and be as close to a good adaptation of Carroll’s stories as we can get.
