The universe is in ruins. Thanos (Brolin) has wiped out half of the universe with a snap of his fingers, following his collection of all six Infinity Stones, leaving the surviving other half to deal with their new reality. The few remaining heroes – including Tony Stark/Iron Man (Downey Jr), Steve Rogers/Captain America (Evans), Thor (Hemsworth), Bruce Banner (Ruffalo), Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow (Johansson), James Rhodes/War Machine (Cheadle), Rocket Raccoon (Cooper), Nebula (Gillan), Okoye (Gurira), Clint Barton/Hawkeye (Renner), Scott Lang/Ant-Man (Rudd) and Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel (Larson) – band together for a mission to help put the universe back to normal, and to defeat Thanos once and for all…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

After 22 movies, everything that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been building up towards reaches its heavily anticipated conclusion – which means we have to be prepared to say goodbye to a lot of long-standing heroes, many of whom are due to bow out after this film.
