Elementary school students George Beard (Hart) and Harold Hutchins (Middleditch) are best friends who enjoy spreading joy at their miserable school, and making comic-books with their imagined superhero Captain Underpants. However, when the mean Principal Krupp (Helms) threatens to separate the two, they come up with a plan to hypnotize him and turn him into Captain Underpants, which turns out to work far better than either of them could have imagined…
