WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Miriam (Drucker) has left her husband Antoine (Ménochet), but while she is content with letting her teenage daughter Joséphine (Auneveux) make up her own mind about which parent she wants to see, she refuses to let her youngest child, Julien (Gioria), to see a father she claims to be violent. However, when the family judge rules in Antoine’s favour, Julien becomes the pawn in an increasingly bitter custody battle…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

The first feature by Xavier Legrand, who was previously Oscar-nominated for his short film Just Before Losing Everything, is a harrowing and dramatic tale of a family torn apart and the difficult decisions made for the supposed benefit of the children involved.
