WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

In their secluded farmhouse, a former surgeon (Agostini) teaches her young daughter Francisca (Bond) to understand anatomy and be unfazed by death. One day, a traumatic incident haunts the young girl while also opening up certain curiosities, and years later an adult Francisca (Magalhaes) takes up a dark path that combines her scarred nature and her desire to connect with the rest of the world…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

The Eyes of My Mother is a creepy black-and-white horror film that shows the majority of the ones in colour how it’s done, with the simplest of disturbing imagery proving to be more effective than any jump-scare.
