WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

On the sound stage of a 1950s Hollywood studio, “fixer” Eddie Mannix (Brolin) is tasked with keeping actors’ scandalous personal lives out of the press. Currently, he is lending his services to the set of the studio’s latest epic “Hail, Caesar!”, starring the famous but dim movie star Baird Whitlock (Clooney), but when the star is suddenly kidnapped by a mysterious group calling themselves The Future, Mannix must find a way to collect the $100,000 ransom money and rescue Whitlock before it does serious damage to the picture…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

The Coen Brothers are back with a hilarious look at Hollywood normalities in the 1950s, with a stellar ensemble cast of Coen regulars and newcomers being lucky enough to be under the brothers’ tutelage.
