WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

On a hot late-summer day in 1987, 13-year-old Henry Wheeler (Griffith) is growing up while his mother Adele (Winslet) is suffering from depression. When they go out shopping, they run into a bloodied older man (Brolin) who desperately needs their help. They take him home and learn that the man, Frank, is an escaped convict on the run from the authorities. As the weekend goes by, the mother and son find themselves more and more drawn to the man’s charms…
