17-year-old Simon Spier (Robinson) struggles to tell people the fact that he is gay, and keeps it a secret from his friends and family. However, when he starts an online conversation with an anonymous fellow high school student who is also gay, he sets out on a mission to find him just as he starts to feel more comfortable with who he is…
