WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Charlotte (Smith) is a professional dancer and choreographer who’s preparing for a new show, but her world is turned upside down when she discovers that she is pregnant and her grandmother Mari (Glynn) is coming to the end of her life. Over an uneasy weekend with her family, Charlotte begins to discover a new meaning to things she had previously dismissed, which gives her a new perspective on the kind of future she wants for herself…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Mari combines powerful dramatic storytelling with the equally compelling art of dance, in a blending of the two art forms that makes for some absolutely stunning cinema.
