WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

In the late 1980s, actor Richard Thorncroft (Barratt) was best known for a popular television show called Mindhorn, where he played a detective with a robotic eye that could see the truth. Twenty-five years later, however, he’s a washed-up has-been who’s alone on account of his arrogance back in the day, and barely getting by on what little fame he has left. However, a serial killer soon emerges who only wishes to speak to Detective Mindhorn, who the killer is convinced is a real person, leading Thorncroft on a journey back into the spotlight as he dons the character once more to help the police with their investigation…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Mindhorn is a hilarious British comedy that satires the world of fame and fortune, as well as the effects of what portraying a well-known character can have on a person’s ego.
