WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Charlie Mortdecai (Depp) is an aristocratic art dealer and rogue playboy, who must juggle the likes of some angry Russians, MI5, an international terrorist and, most dangerous of all, his wife Johanna (Paltrow) in order to travel the globe in a race to find a stolen painting. The hook? Said painting harbours the code to a lost account filled with Nazi gold, enough to keep Charlie from bankruptcy…

Johnny Depp revels in playing the comedic titular role in the first adaptation of the late Kyril Bonfiglioli’s Mortdecai Trilogy, with this film being based on the story wittingly entitled “Don’t Point That Thing At Me”.
