WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Martin (Mikkelsen), Tommy (Larsen), Nikolaj (Millang) and Peter (Ranthe) are four friends who lead dissatisfied lives as high school teachers. When they learn about a theory that humans are born with too low of a blood alcohol count, and that they need a consistent level in order to boost personal creativity and happiness, the four friends decide to undergo an experiment where they maintain enough booze in their lives to live as passionately as they can…

The winner of this year’s Oscar for Best International Feature Film is a strange yet uplifting film about the pros and cons of frequent alcohol consumption, which sees the glorious reunion of star Mads Mikkelsen and director Thomas Vinterberg, who previously worked together on the award-winning drama The Hunt.
