WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

In the far future, House Atreides – ruled by Duke Leto (Isaac), his concubine Lady Jessica (Ferguson), and their son and heir Paul (Chalamet) – accepts an invitation to govern the desert planet of Arrakis, the galaxy’s only source of an extremely valuable substance known as “spice” which can provide extended human life, superhuman intelligence, and faster-than-light travel. However, a bitter betrayal forces Paul and Jessica into the arms of the Fremen, Arrakis’ native people who want to fight back against their oppressors…

The second major adaptation of Frank Herbert’s influential sci-fi novel Dune – the first made by none other than David Lynch, who has since disowned the divisive film – is in safe hands thanks to master director Denis Villeneuve, and an all-star cast who are just as determined to make the material work this time round.
