WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

In the 1980s, Korean-American Jacob (Yeun) moves his wife Monica (Ye-ri) and children David (Kim) and Anne (Cho) from California to a tiny Arkansas farm, where Jacob plans to grow his own produce and sell it to vendors. With the arrival of Monica’s sly, foul-mouthed mother Soon-ja (Yuh-jung), the family dynamic is shaken up even more, but through the instability and numerous challenges, the family relies on their love and passion to see themselves through…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

In the wake of Parasite’s history-making Oscar win last year, Minari hopes to continue the Korean fever of awards season going, and it helps that it’s also an extremely heart-warming and loveable tale of a family following their dreams.
