WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

In 1924, young house maid Jane Fairchild (Young) finds herself alone on Mothering Sunday when her employers, the Nivens (Colman and Firth), go out. She has a rare chance to spend an afternoon with her secret lover Paul (O’Connor), a boy from a nearby manor house who is engaged to another woman, but unexpected events end up changing both of their lives – especially hers – forever…
