WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

In the 1970s, a group of people struggling with their sexuality in the Christian faith kick-start the “pray the gay away” movement by founding Exodus International, one of the biggest and most controversial conversion therapy organisations in the world. Years later, many of its founders have come out as LGBTQ+, disavowing the very system they helped create which has caused so much psychological harm for many of its unwilling participants…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

From executive producers Jason Blum and Ryan Murphy, this powerful documentary charts the disturbing rise of gay conversion therapy in the United States, and its damaging effect on the lives of many LGBTQ+ people over the years.
