WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

A painting known as “Salvator Mundi” is unearthed at a shady New Orleans auction house, and is bought for $1,175. Upon making restorations, discoveries of Renaissance-era brushstrokes indicate that the painting may have been created by Leonardo da Vinci, sparking an intense worldwide battle for ownership which ultimately ends with it being sold for $450 million – and that’s before questions about its authenticity begin to emerge…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

One of the most shocking sagas in modern art history – that of the infamous “Salvator Mundi” painting – is documented in a film that highlights the excessive greed and ambition of art admirers across the world.
