WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Damien (Kingsley), a wealthy aristocrat, is dying of cancer. He discovers a secret medical procedure that can transfer a person’s consciousness into another body, which he undergoes and soon finds himself in the body of a younger, healthier man (Reynolds). Though Damien enjoys his new existence for a while, he soon discovers that the body he is using belonged to someone with a life and family, before he was used by the organisation that carried out the procedure. As if that weren’t enough, the original man’s consciousness is threatening to resurface, causing Damien’s existence to be wiped away for good…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Self/Less is a highly intriguing but disturbing examination of immortality and the price we must pay in order to achieve it.
