WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

During the First World War, a stray dog wanders into a US Army training grounds, and is soon befriended by young recruit Robert Conroy (Lerman), who names the dog Stubby. It’s not long before both Conroy and Stubby are transported to the trenches and battlefields, where the dog and his human companions embark on a courageous mission behind enemy lines…

This may seem like any other standard animated kid’s movie about a dog, but this one is based on a real-life canine who to this day remains the most highly-decorated dog in American military history.
