WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Twenty years after betraying his friends by stealing £16,000 from their heroin deal, Mark Renton (McGregor) returns to Scotland to make amends. He reunites with Daniel “Spud” Murphy (Bremner) and Simon “Sick Boy” Williamson (Miller), but tries to avoid the psychopathic and vengeful Francis “Franco” Begbie (Carlyle), who has just been released from prison…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Danny Boyle and the entire cast of the original 1996 cult classic reunite for a sequel that’s been at least two decades in the making, and should hopefully be as innovative and edgy as the original to make that long wait worth it.
