WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

In 1930s Korea, during the Japanese occupation, a young woman named Sook-hee (Tae-ri) is hired as a handmaiden for wealthy Japanese heiress Lady Hideko (Min-hee), who lives a secluded life with her domineering uncle (Jin-woong). However, Sook-hee is actually a pickpocket that has been recruited by a con-artist to help him with his scheme of robbing the heiress of her fortune, and everything seems to be going according to plan – until Sook-hee and Hideko’s unexpected emotions for one another threaten to throw things for a loop…
