WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Once a celebrated child detective, Abe Applebaum (Brody) is now 31 and still solving a slew of juvenile cases when he’s not wallowing in hangover-induced self-pity. However, he finds a chance to finally solve an “adult” case when naïve teen Caroline (Nélisse) wants him to discover who brutally murdered her boyfriend…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

An interesting twist on the kid detective story, populated by the likes of Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys, this dark and refreshingly adult comedy-drama explores the consequences of failing to emerge from the shadow of your younger self, as well as solving a legitimately compelling mystery.

WHEN’S IT OUT?
