WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Five teenagers – Rahne (Williams), Illyana (Taylor-Joy), Sam (Heaton), Danielle (Hunt) and Roberto (Zaga) – who are all just discovering their mutant powers, are held against their will in a secret government facility, where they must face sinister forces and also come to terms with their own abilities…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

After numerous delays caused by impending reshoots (which may or may not have happened), the Disney/Fox merger, and most recently COVID-19, the final film in the current X-Men continuity (before it is inevitably rebooted and integrated into the MCU) is both a unique horror entry into the now-defunct franchise, and also a compelling coming-of-age story with superpowers.
