WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Dr. Will Caster (Depp), an artificial intelligence researcher developing a new machine that is both sentient and self-aware, is assassinated by a group of anti-technology extremists including Bree (Mara). Before he dies, he enlists his wife Evelyn (Hall) and fellow researcher Max (Bettany) to upload his conscience into the machine. But even though the procedure is successful, the combination of Will’s soul and the sentient machine create a force that soon becomes unstoppable…
