WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Mary Mapes (Blanchett), the producer of the hit CBS informative show 60 Minutes with host Dan Rather (Redford), decides to air a report leading up to the 2004 presidential election that investigated then-President George W. Bush’s questionable military history, where he supposedly used his father’s political influence to avoid being drafted to Vietnam. However, after the report airs, Mapes and Rather face several accusations of inaccuracy, leading to the loss of their jobs and reputations…
