WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Halla (Geirharðsdóttir) leads a quiet and simple life – or at least, that what she wants people to think. In reality, she is a committed environmental activist known to others as “The Mountain Woman” who has waged war against the local aluminium industry that threatens the green landscape she has sworn to protect. However, just as she plots her most ambitious operation to date, she receives an unexpected letter that threatens to change everything…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

The latest theatrical import from Iceland is a funny, empowering and surprisingly touching movie about a one-woman war to protect the environment.
