WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Nate Foster (Wood) is a 13-year-old with dreams of making it big on Broadway, but is constantly overlooked at school where he fails to land any lead parts. Nate and his best friend Libby (Brooks) decide to sneak away to New York in order to fulfil their dreams, but a chance encounter with Nate’s estranged aunt Heidi (Kurdrow) turns their plan upside-down…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Adapting his own book of the same name, writer-director Tim Federle – known as the creator of the hit Disney+ spin-off series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series (quite a mouthful, eh?) – brings his love of musicals to feature-length heights with an inspiring story for all young performing wannabes out there.
