WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

11-year-old Alexander (Oxenbould) has what he considers to be one of the worst days of his life, all beginning with a piece of gum stuck to his hair. He finds little sympathy from his family, including father Ben (Carell), mother Kelly (Garner), older brother Anthony (Minnette) and older sister Emily (Dorsey), but that changes when each of them end up having their own terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Based on the classic children’s book (and yes, it does share the same overlong title), this is a family comedy that healthily reminds us all that bad days, whether we like it or not, are inevitable for everyone.
