WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

The India-based establishment of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel for the Elderly and Beautiful is thriving with guests, including permanent guests such as Evelyn (Dench) and Douglas (Nighy), who both wonder where their frequent dates are headed; Norman (Pickup) and Carol (Hardcastle), whose exclusive relationship is treading over tricky waters; Madge (Imrie), who is juggling two potential – and wealthy – suitors; and co-manager Muriel (Smith) who struggles to keep everyone’s secrets. Meanwhile, young and energetic manager Sonny (Patel) is balancing impending marriage to Sunaina (Desae) and his dream of expanding the hotel into further properties, which may bode well for new arrivals Guy (Gere) and Lavinia (Grieg)…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Basking in the first film’s surprise critical and commercial success, The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel brings back most of the original cast and crew along with some new additions, and promises a whole lot more feel-good activity and gorgeous Indian atmosphere.
