Just before Christmas, young student couple James (Butterfield) and Hayley (Kirk) are set to spend the holidays at their respective family homes, but at the last minute they impulsively decide to surprise each other by swapping trains and showing up at their doorstep unannounced – only to find that their families celebrate Christmas in very different ways. As James and Hayley are forced to spend the holidays with their other half’s family, they begin to realise that they maybe don’t know that much about each other…
