In 1944, with the Second World War approaching its end, the Home Guard in Walmington-on-Sea – led by Captain Mainwaring (Jones) – is suffering from low morale. However, the arrival of glamorous journalist Rose Winters (Zeta-Jones), as well as news from MI5 that a German spy is within their ranks, leads the rag-tag group of soldiers on a mission that could finally let them make a real difference in the war…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

The beloved BBC sitcom makes it way to the big screen with a brand-new cast filling in the roles that audiences know and love, and the same spiffing sense of British comedy that made the original a classic to begin with.
