On a summer afternoon in 1989 Chicago, a charismatic young associate by the name of Barack Obama (Sawyers) tries to win the heart of young lawyer Michelle Robinson (Sumpter) by taking her to the Art Institute of Chicago, a screening of Spike Lee’s Do The Right Thing, and an ice cream parlour where they are destined to have their first kiss…
