WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

In 1920s America, with the Prohibition era in full swing, a man named Joe Coughlin (Affleck) shuns his past as the respected son of a Boston Police Superintendent, and becomes an outlaw that quickly grows powerful and wealthy through his numerous criminal activities. However, when he soon double-crosses a notorious gangster, Joe finds himself fighting to keep a hold of everything he has built towards, even if it means making some difficult decisions along the way…

Ben Affleck returns to the director’s chair for this all-star adaptation of Dennis LeHane’s crime novel, which seeks to further cement Affleck’s notoriety as a damn good filmmaker in addition to being a strong lead actor.
