WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Tony (Broadbent), an aging divorcee who lives a life of solitude, is bequeathed a diary written by one of his old friends Adrian (Buckley), who had committed suicide under mysterious circumstances. However, the diary is currently in the possession of his old girlfriend Veronica (Rampling), who refuses to give it to him out of bitterness to him for events that happened in their youth, which forces Tony to reopen some painful memories…
