WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Five medical students (Page, Luna, Dobrev, Norton and Clemons) become obsessed with what happens after we die, and so embark on a series of dangerous experiments that stop their hearts for a short period of time, triggering near-death experiences and giving them a first-hand account of the afterlife. However, when the experiments become increasingly dangerous, they find themselves haunted by the sins of their pasts, brought about by the paranormal entities that live on the other side…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

The cult early 90s horror-thriller of the same name is remade with modern actors and efficiency, though the inclusion of original actor Kiefer Sutherland reprising his role surprisingly also makes this a long-awaited sequel.
