After their respective flights are cancelled due to stormy weather, surgeon Dr. Ben Bass (Elba) and photojournalist Alex Martin (Winslet) board a charter plane together, only for the plane to crash mid-flight, leaving both of them stranded in the wilderness, fighting to survive the harshly cold weather while also growing more and more dependent on each other…
