WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Leo Sharp (Eastwood) is an 80-something World War II veteran who’s broke, alone, and facing foreclosure on his business. Desperate, he accepts a job that just requires him to drive, which at first seems simple enough – until he discovers that he’s just signed on as a drug courier for a Mexican cartel. Nonetheless, he proves to be quite good at drug smuggling, so much so that his cargo and his pay increases dramatically, but as his money problems become a thing of the past, Leo struggles to keep his past mistakes from weighing too heavily on him, especially when he’s being watched by hard-charging DEA agent Colin Bates (Cooper)…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

After a rare career dip with his dire directorial effort The 15:17 to Paris, Clint Eastwood returns to the director’s chair – as well on the screen in his first acting role in over six years – with this thrilling true story about one of the world’s oldest drug mules.
